I am back.

After sorely neglecting my blog for over two weeks I will now create a new post. I am sorry for my lack of diligence in regards to my blog, but if you knew what I've been doing...well, it was probably better that I didn't post. I might have flunked my biology exam. Spring is officially here, but now I can't believe it's not summer. When you go to the beach something inside says "summer".

the beach?...OH!! Vision Quest!!

It was wonderful, but then, it's wonderful EVERY year. Great messages, great worship, great weather, and great fellowship. I loved it. Especially since a couple of my close friends were able to go this year. The talent show was great (as you can see from the above pictures) and mom's message seemed to "go over well". I wasn't able to hear it, but from what I heard it was a knockout. She's the best.

After VQ, Dad, Mom, Brient, Daniel, and I went to Pavo, Georgia to fish. Woohooo!! It too was beautiful and I must say it was some of the most fun I have ever had.

Hopefully I can post pictures of Georgia and the Connolly visit soon.

Signing out

I leave for Vision Quest tomorrow. Unfortunately I will not be posting for the next week. Oh, well. I will bring back sunsets and sand. Hopefully I can post on the recent Connolly visit as well.

untill next time,

Today was a school day. We take off school on Mondays so we can hang out with Dad. Thus Saturdays end up being work filled.
On this particular afternoon, I received the pleasure of dissecting a fish (above). The first two are of the fish and it's insides and the third is a picture of the vital organs of the fish. I had a little trouble telling which was the liver and which was the stomach,(fish have big livers) but Dad came in and helped me out. : )

The other picture is of some of my new summer clothes. The pink Tennessee shirt is my favorite. It probably won't go over well in Florida though.

It's a hectic week at the Kittrell's. Dad is in California, and Mom is working on a message for this upcoming week. The picture above is from last years' college retreat. Every year over spring break we go to panama city, FL with our college group on a retreat called, Vision Quest. We leave this Monday!! I am definally in beach mode. I have been wearing shorts and tshirts in 50 degree weather. It's hard to save it for the beach. The next two pictures are of the two children that I babysit every year at this retreat. I have not yet decided whether they are "sweet little angels" or "seedbeds of sin" yet. Hard to tell. : )

See you tomorrow,

Lauren

Hello!! Today Mom, Meg, and I went shopping. We hit the mall and used up March's clothing budget in three hours. Hopefully I will get a picture of all my clothes for you tomorrow. I am really excited about finding MODEST clothes for spring break. Thanks to Meg and Mom I will not be wearing T-shirts for the rest of the summer. : ) Tennessee is now playing in the second half of the Georgia game and we are getting beat....got to go and watch it...

Hello everyone...well, probably just Daniel, Ashley and I. After putting up a picture to embarrass Daniel, I've decided to embarrass myself. I hope you enjoy the poem and picture...in light of Daniel's comment I will submit that I did not take this picture.

Overworked

My Mother and Father both thought I could do it:

Child labor laws are nothing but child petting, time wasters,
Wash the walls and wipe the floors, don’t be lazy, do not sit!!
Ride your bike, clean your room, fold the laundry on the floor;
Vacuum, sweep, iron, dust; Do it right, you might get hit!

My Mother and Father both thought I could do it:

That little cold is just a sniffle, do it right or you’ll get triple.
Sweep the floors and clean the drawers, do it quick or you’ll get bit.
Do your school and read your books, do not stop or you’ll get bopped;
Be cheerful, joyful, kind, and sweet, do it right or you’ll get beat!!

My Mother and Father both thought I could do it:

That little grave so dark and gloomy, they now feel bad that I went droopy.

Ode to Lauren Kittrell

If only they had treated her better.

I'm post crazy today!! Here is another picture, I hope you like it. It is of my brother Daniel and his friend, Daniel Jinks, on their way to a "toga" party.

First Try

Well, I've never tried a blog before...so hang in there with me. My dad suggested that I create a blog for my pictures so, like I good daughter I have done so. The picture above was taken in the badlands....somewhere out west. : )

Sorry for the short post, but I really just want to see if my picture works.
