My brother, Daniel, is doing an accounting internship in Gaithersburg, Maryland. He's working for a group of non-denominational churches called Sovereign Grace, led by C.J. Mahaney. Mom and I went up to visit Daniel a few weeks ago and he took us on a tour of Washington D.C., which is about thirty minutes away from Gaithersburg. We had a wonderful time, though we were hot and VERY tired by the end of the day. The next day Daniel's friend, James Harris, gave us a tour of Gettysburg. This was quite fun AND afterwards, Daniel took Mom and I to a very nice restaurant erected in 1776 and used as a tavern since 1865. Needless to say, it was gorgeous. = ) It was a very historical weekend and I am sad that we didn't go during the school year so I could get some kind of credit for it!! Hopefully I will be posting pictures of my "niece" Laurel Anne at the end of this week, though she may not come until next week.
Until then,
Lauren

Bless your heart! I was a couple days late in checking your blog so I didn't catch the "For Aunt Debbie" entry right away. Thanks for the lovely description of your trip. Just think - I'm making you work on your writing skills and it's not even homework!! I really appreciate the commentary. It keeps me a little more "in the loop"! Keep us updated on Baby Laurel! Love, Aunt Deb
