I started my first week of college life last week and am officially LOVING IT!!! Classes are not so VERY hard and life is not so VERY busy, though enough so that I am not able to do everything I want anytime I want. This is my VERY weak excuse for not posting in so long!! = ) Be gracious!!! I am doing my best to keep up with family, VFC, friends, school, and everything else, but I'm afraid I'm failing miserably and this is only my first week!! Hopefully God will give me grace to grow in discipline and discernment!!!! I also apologize for the weird manner that these photos decided to upload!!! I promise I put them on in order!!! Sometimes my dear blogger has a mind of his own!! Anyway, this post is a collage of Laurel's first birthday, vacation, and Daniel and Jessie's fake engagement pictures. Oh, and yes, Laurel DID have two birthdays!! One in Knoxville with all her "friends" and one in Florida on her actual birthday!! Will and Meg and Laurel are now in Florida for the rest of the year and we miss them very much, but it's kind of a blessing because I know I wouldn't get any studying done if Laurel was here!!! Not because she's annoying or loud or anything, but because every time I see her I just have to pick her up and once you pick her up you really CAN't put her down!!! She smiles at you and laughs and says, "Na-Na" and there's no letting her go...I'm surprised they ever got me home after dropping them off!!! = ( Well, I leave the house tomorrow at 7:00am so I'd better go to bed!!!

I'm so glad you're enjoying your first few weeks in school! I really did enjoy college... there's not many times in your life when you get to walk outside so often, and eat smooshed PBJ's with friends every day in the nooks and crannies of old brick bldgs. :) enjoy every second of beauty God gives!
also, as your former English teacher, I feel it's incumbent upon me to inform you that the exclamation point no longer has any real value after this post... you demoted it to the status of period. hee hee. just don't do that on your first English paper.

Lauren, Thanks for your updates and pictures! So glad that you are enjoying college! You will do great! Payton got moved into a rental home this weekend in CA. She said it was 107 degrees out there! Keenan gets home from Kyrgyzstan later this month and they are scheduled to leave for Germany in December. Please keep them in your prayers. Love you, Aunt Debbie
